Here at Climbing Frames HQ, we are always really pleased to hear about new public play areas for children. The CEO of Climbing Frames UK, Andrew-Selwood Beard, said, “As advocates of outdoor play, we believe that kids need to have designated areas for them to run around, let off steam, exercise and socialise. This new playground in Fishtoft is exactly what we think all communities need to have.”
In Fishtoft, Lincolnshire, a new playground has been opened by the village’s Jubilee Queen, Jodie Harrison. The new play area has swings, a cradle basket, a rumble bridge, play tower and adventure trails – sounds brilliant, doesn’t it?!
Many community members have been involved in the playground project which was funded by various organisations. The majority of the funding was generously donated by the Waste Recycling Environmental (WREN), who provided a grant of £40,000. To coincide with the official opening of the park, a fun day was organised by the local football club – Fishtoft FC.
We wish we had been there to join in the fun!
