The Balmoral Fort & Burghley climbing frames designed by Selwood with the Balmoral Series fort. These are the entry level sets, giving a compact layout for those with limited space and supplied with or without swings or monkey bars. This set includes the Balmoral play fort with a UV resistant vinyl roof with sunburst, wave slide and a combination rockwall ladder. Manufactured from cedar wood and pre-stained with a factory applied water based redwood colour stain, this playset will be a fantastic addition to any garden.
The play deck is 1.2m (4ft) from the ground so is high enough to give a challenging climb up and fun slide down but not too high to scare younger children. The fort consists of 4×2 upright beams supporting the upper playhouse. The deck measures 118.7cm (46¾”) wide from left to right by 89.53cm (35¼”) deep from front to back. This equates to over 1m/sq of raised play area with a sand play area below. With the addition of a membrane you can fill the area with sand and use it as a sandpit. The ground beams which act as the surround for this area are 12cm (5″) high. Should you wish it could alternatively be used as a ball pit or you could add our optional stand-alone picnic table accessory.
The slide is high railed especially at the top to ensure children can get onto the slide easily and safely and that they are retained as they enjoy the ride. The slide features a wave in the middle to give some additional excitement, and the bottom of the slide flattens to enable a slower exit to ensure children can place their feet down safely.
Our monkey bar swing beam also offer the opportunity to have swings, or swing accessories attached to the beam too. This offers the opportunity to maximize space in your garden, so if you have a smaller garden you can still have both a swing and a monkey bar so you children get maximum enjoyment from their playset. Safety Notice: We advise Swings & Swing Accessories should be removed from a combination monkey bar swing before using it as a monkey bar.
Our Climbing Frames are all free standing and cementing them into the ground is unnecessary, but to provide added stability, the Balmoral Fort comes with a set of ground stakes, which fix it to the ground.
